The Last Snow Burns Half the Sky Red

In the cloud-covered and mist-shrouded mountains of southern Yunnan, Feng Suichun, a newly graduated volunteer teacher, met Camellia unexpectedly. Here, she met the Duan family father and son who have adhered to mountain village education for two generations, and witnessed student Xia Hua's dream of studying being deprived of by traditional marriage customs. Witnessing Tong Xiannuan's legendary life, she strengthened her ideals and beliefs, and was also involved in a mountain village game about survival and development. When the roar of bulldozers rolled over the century-old camellia forest, the fate of the four villages was divided: Anxi Village chose the shortcut of cutting through mountains and extracting rocks, while Shancha Village vowed to protect the green waters and green mountains left by its ancestors. Feng Suichun and the villagers jointly explored a sustainable development path for the camellia economy.
