The Road Lies Beneath Our Feet

Reform and opening up was a sweeping transformation of the times. It not only established a modern socialist market economy, but also completely liberated people's minds. In this sweeping change, from top to bottom and inside out, ordinary people like Lu Yuan and Li Hongwei faced unprecedented upheaval. They paid a heavy price and endured countless setbacks and blows, but they never gave up. Once they made it through, sunshine and a broad road awaited them.

This novel focuses on the ordinary people and everyday events caught up in the tide of the times.
