Interesting, Smart Reads for Passing the Time: Neither Pretentious nor Dumbed Down
1. At least decent fare, with prose that's readable. 2. The premise or plot should be interesting. No need to bother with mediocre works. I'm no literary intellectual, but I do have some standards for prose. I was pickier about what I read early on. These days I'm tired from work and often just want something light, but I can't stand mindless power-ups and endless hookups. This list is based on those standards.
