This Is My Hall of Immortality

During the Jiajing reign of the Ming dynasty, Shen Shinian, a senior physician at the Imperial Medical Academy, uncovers a shocking secret: the elixir of immortality sought by the emperor is actually a kind of parasitic poison that turns people into "living corpses." Those who take it stop aging, but gradually lose their humanity, eventually becoming monsters that know only how to kill. Shen Shinian tries to destroy the formula, but the Embroidered Uniform Guard hunts him down. While fleeing, he meets a mysterious woman who calls herself "Li Shizhen." She comes from a future four hundred years away and is a doctoral student researching ancient medicine. She tells Shen Shinian that the parasitic poison of the Longevity Hall will cause a plague that wipes out humanity three hundred years later. The key to stopping it, astonishingly, lies in the blood of Shen Shinian's own family. The two trace the poison from the Jiajing reign to the Wanli reign, crossing through time and gradually uncovering a conspiracy behind the "Longevity Hall" that spans five hundred years. And Shen Shinian's origins are far more terrifying than he ever imagined.
