The Galactic Wager: Proving the Dao Through Resurrection

Milo had just graduated from university and started his first job when the entire Milky Way was lost in a wager. Its creator bet it could produce a First-Tier being, but not a single one emerged. The winner began draining the galaxy for sustenance, and a beam of light from beyond the Milky Way pulled Milo to safety. From then on, he traveled from world to world, gathering opportunities and cultivating his path. A Great Luo Golden Immortal counts as only First Tier in this system. To climb higher, you have to forge your own way. The deeper your understanding of the Dao, the harder your fists hit. Third Tier: Once proven, forever proven. Only when your past, present, and future perish together, and your path is devoured, can you be considered truly asleep. But as long as someone in the world still speaks your name or remembers you, you can return. First and Second Tier: If you die, you’re dead. If you’re devoured, you’re devoured. You and your Dao are erased completely, down to the very concepts of your existence. So every step Milo takes is a gamble: either he proves himself to Third Tier, or he is forgotten.
