The Uncrowned One Returns to Claim the Throne!

Last week, Captain Wirt of the Royal City Knights asked me, "Lord Anxi, would you consider writing something for the New World?"

I said no.

He solemnly warned me, "You really should write something. It's a request from the Chief."

I told him to get lost.

The Chief? What a joke. I, Anxi, would rather die penniless, die out there, than write a single word for that old bastard Hilbrand!

Yesterday, the Magic Association sent over a bill of exchange. It said the Chief had paid my writing fee in advance.

I took a look, and I have to admit, the number of gold coins listed there rather surprised me.

Well, anyone who knows me, Anxi, knows that becoming a writer has always been my grand, unhatched dream!

Sometimes it's hard to make a decision, but after many days and nights of thought, I've decided to bring my talents to the literary world!

So first, allow me to explain the contents of this book in this preface:

As one of the most important founders of the New World, I will not, like the Church of old, use gentle lies to gloss over the years of hardship we endured.

I will reveal the silent histories, whose truths will ring in your ears;

I will sing the praises of those who charged forth with passion, through laughter and tears;

I will speak of the forgotten names, unknown to the present day, yet still shining brightly.

This is the long journey of an unknown nobody,

and the winding road that each of you, and the New World, has traveled.

I hope you enjoy it.
