I’m a Proper Cultivator, and I Drink Only Nine Potions a Day

In the year 20331 of the Immortal Calendar, the high school entrance exams are over. Chen Nian, who was admitted to a top cultivation high school, desperately takes out a loan of 3.5 million immortal coins to pursue his dream of getting into an immortal-body university. But dreams are beautiful and reality is cruel. Even 3.5 million immortal coins aren’t enough to get him into an undergraduate program, let alone an immortal-body university. After failing, Chen Nian can only enroll at Fuyun Technical College of Artifact Refining. He thinks he’ll spend the rest of his life paying off his debt on a factory assembly line. Then Chen Nian discovers that he actually has a transmigration ring inside his body, one that can take him to a world of steampunk and Cthulhu. Potions and divination, steam and machinery, gods watching from above and curses: everything is so mysterious. But... "What do you mean, taking nine kinds of potions in one day made the Plague Evil God notice me?" Chen Nian discovers that the cultivation techniques from the immortal world can actually be practiced here. A source of contamination from toxic potions? My "Qi and Blood Like a Dragon Art" can purge countless toxins and make me immune to every poison. I can even absorb the energy in potions to improve my physique and cultivation. The Evil God’s gaze keeps corroding me? My "Supreme Clarity Art" clears my mind and steadies my spirit. And so Chen Nian embarks on a path of cultivation in a steampunk Cthulhu world.
