Wanted Across the Internet: My Predictions Are Never Perfect

Bai Ming wakes up to find himself the prey of the entire internet. To cover up its market manipulation, Vita Capital refuses to hold an open trial. Instead, it unleashes bounty hunters, private security, and corporate intelligence teams in an unending, internet-wide hunt for him. At his moment of desperation, the Imperfect Game System successfully binds to him. The higher the danger level, the more accurate its simulations become. But one ironclad rule cannot be changed: every perfect prediction comes with one randomly selected, deadly blind spot. It can calculate routes, tactics, and financial strategies. But it cannot see through human greed, sudden twists of fate, or the rules hastily changed by the highest echelons of capital. Predictions are never all-powerful, and every simulation has flaws. He cannot rely entirely on the System. He can only make use of it. Hunters converge, turn on one another, and snatch their targets from each other. Capital lays net after net, baiting traps in a chain and turning every step into a death sentence. Escape is not the end. From fleeing for his life through back alleys to going underground, and then to stepping onto the chessboard of international capital. He learns to use people’s hearts as pieces and vulnerabilities as blades. If the whole world sees me as prey, then I’ll tear this hunt apart with my own hands. My predictions will always have flaws. But it is precisely this imperfection that lets me carve out a path to survival when all hope is lost.
