Four Seasons of Indus

In the hinterland of Zhaomu Mountain on the north bank of the Jialing River, there is a Jixin Road alley shaded by sycamore trees, which carries the fireworks of the land and the changes of the times. The book begins with Liangjiang New Area being approved as a new economic zone in 2010 and ends with the entire area being adjusted into administrative districts in 2025. It spans sixteen years of spring and autumn and the cycle of the four seasons, focusing on the fireworks life of a few ordinary families in the old street of Jixin Road. It highlights the power of the people at the bottom to persevere in making a living and transform towards the sun. Reasons for the author's recommendation: It has a complete story structure, vivid characters, a realistic background of the times, and sincere emotional power. I hope it can be like a "Chongqing version of "The World". It does not have as grand a historical span as "The World" by teacher Liang Xiaosheng, but it also focuses on the survival and dignity of ordinary people in the changing times.
