Introduction to "Old Testament of Mountains and Rivers" There is a little-known little place in the upper reaches of the Yellow River. A group of craftsmen live here - Lu Chen who repairs ships, Cen Wang who does fortune telling, Zhao Jiuli who makes paper horses, Wei Tiezhou who digs wells, Jiang Wan who reads water veins, and the Yang brothers who do funerals... They each have their own business and life, and they look like ordinary people. But they all have a common identity: Xuanmen. One night twenty-three years ago, twenty-three people had a dream at the same time. In the dream, there were twenty-three boats floating on the Yellow River. Someone stood on the bow and read a copy of "The Old Testament of Mountains and Rivers". Five rules were agreed upon, but the sixth one was interrupted before the sixth one was finished. After waking up from the dream, no one knew what the dream meant, and no one knew what Xuanmen wanted to do. But they all know one thing - things haven't been peaceful in this place since then. Someone wants to dig out the hidden promise again. And some people don't want it to see the light of day again. This is a story about a craftsman. They do not cultivate immortals, kill demons, or save the world. They just make a living by the Yellow River, occasionally helping people do feng shui, tie paper horses, and calculate good and bad luck. But when someone wants to take over their territory, these craftsmen let them know— Xuanmen people are not easy to mess with.
