Gray Era

This is an epic that takes difference as the original sin as its core and tells the story of human civilization's inability to deal with the contradictions of "mutants" and its eventual self-destruction. Nearly a hundred years ago, some humans awakened as mutants, possessing powerful special abilities that came with a price, which caused global panic because they were difficult to hide. 55 Years ago, various countries established the International Abnormal Investigation Bureau (F. A. T.), Built a supranational violence machine in the name of control, launched a brutal purification war, and turned mutants into weapons of hereditary control. The nine major families monopolized power and completely degenerated into a ruthless tyranny. As the conflicts intensified, five opposing forces emerged one after another: the hatred-fueled destruction organization "Blood"; the scientific fanatics who pursued extreme evolution and believed in the Hand of the Universe; the F. A. T. Reactionary rebels who resisted but were corrupted by violence; the behind-the-scenes, indifferent and calculating capital conglomerate Tianting; and the Interpol Special Crime Investigation Department, which was unable to struggle in the face of power. Three months ago, the reality-distorting singularity ** "Return to Ruins" broke out, swallowing up everything indiscriminately and subverting the rules. The global forces were completely out of control and fell into a final melee of all against all. In the story, the guardian order turns into high-pressure tyranny, resistance to injustice is swallowed up by hatred, capital rationality turns to complete indifference, and legal justice is only a pale afterimage. This is not a disaster caused by the invasion of foreign enemies, but an exquisite suicide of civilization strangulating itself step by step due to arrogance, fear, hatred and indifference. There is no winner above the ashes.
