There is wind in the north. There is aging, parting, death, and new life in the wind. A dilapidated white van, an old Taoist with a cigarette in his mouth, and a taciturn young monk were walking from south to north. Along the way, they pass dying villages, forgotten gods, lost souls, people who have lived too long, and people who know they have no answers but are still asking questions. Someone borrowed his life to extend his life. Some people use dreams to save people. Some people are praying to the sky. Some people give in to fate for once. And the wind is always northward. On this long road, they saw how all living beings lived and how all living beings died. "Beijing Journey" is a novel intertwined with stories about strange things, fairy tales and human beings.
