Alongside the Demon Book

Every long-lived spirit in this world remembers what the immortals looked like. But after asking across countless mountains, Chu Zhou found no one who knew where the true immortals had gone. So he put the search out of his mind, befriended the demons, and began recording their love, hate, joy, and sorrow. His book grew thicker and his journey stretched farther, until one day, a little fox he had once saved pointed at him and said, “You're an immortal.” Only then did he remember that after searching for so long, he had forgotten to look down at himself.
