The Immortal of the Thatched Cottage

There is a thatched cottage in the mountains, and an immortal within.

I have a thatched cottage of my own. I can live in the wilderness, or wander through past and present.

I once sought out alchemists in the Qin and Han dynasties and discoursed with famous men of the Wei and Jin. I have also spent nights in Lanruo Temple, chanced upon fox spirits and ghosts, sailed across the Eastern Sea, and sought out Penglai.

I have seen emperors and ministers, witnessed the rise and fall of the world, shared drinks with mountain spirits, and discussed the Dao with immortals.

Whenever the cottage's wooden gate swings open, another grand tale of immortals awaits beyond it.

The green hills remain as ever, while the sunsets have come and gone countless times.
