Infinite Life and Death

"The Corpse Book" explains the corpse, saying: "The sky is divided into yin and yang, the earth is divided into pure and turbid. All living things are born from the heaven and the earth, entering the yin and yang and the five elements, and the three pure and five turbid. The corpse is not like this. It loses the yang of the sky and the purity of the earth. It jumps out of the reincarnation and is not in the five elements. It is due to the resentment of the deceased. It has no soul and life. It exists because of resentment and dies because of attachment. Therefore, the corpse has no life span, and its life span is consistent with the mind." Buddhism says that there are eight sufferings in life: birth, old age, illness and death, separation from love, meeting of resentment and hatred, not getting what you want, and the five yin being strong. Those who have corpses have made a promise to someone, kept it, and sat on the rocks, unaware of the cold and heat of spring and autumn. After tens of millions of years have passed, their lives will decay and turn into withered bones in the mountains. Their attachments are immeasurable, their thoughts are immeasurable, and their resentments are immeasurable. When future generations know this, they sigh, life and death are endless.
