Gene Lock Era

In 2065, the biohacker group "Breaking the Wall" released a piece of open source code called "Gene Lock". After anyone is injected with the corresponding vector, they can gradually unlock their physical potential - strength, intelligence, lifespan and even perception. The protagonist Lu Ming, an ordinary college student, was accidentally infected with the original version of the gene lock. He discovered that his genes were evolving crazily, but the price was that with each level he unlocked, he lost part of his human emotions. The government regards genes as weapons, transnational consortiums want to monopolize evolution, and the "broken wall" organization advocates free evolution for all. In the melee between the three parties, Lu Ming was forced to awaken the fourth level of gene lock - a forbidden area that theoretically would lead to the complete annihilation of humanity. At the same time, an unknown "anti-lock phenomenon" began to occur: some evolvers' genes collapsed and turned into bloodthirsty monsters. Lu Ming must find the ultimate antidote to the genetic lock before human civilization collapses - or become the god of the new humanity.
