Steel, Germs, and the Arcane Doctor

This book uses the history of a certain land in the 17th century as a branch, blending the existence of magic, the religion and knight culture of the 16th century, and the artillery technology of the 19th century, and allowing them to collide with ancient civilizations that have long since disappeared in real history, ultimately constructing a novel and interesting world view. The book is very good, but I discovered a problem, a problem that has appeared now and will probably become more and more serious in the future: the number of moral kidnapping demons has begun to increase. For example, because the protagonist now belongs to a certain fictional camp, and this camp is easily reminiscent of certain positions in reality, some people completely deny the protagonist's behavior and the efforts made by the protagonist's companions. Sadly, these people often speak from a moral high ground, making it difficult for people to refute. Their voice may be small now, but I worry that one day, this voice will deteriorate the entire reading atmosphere of the book. This also reminds me of one thing: Why are so many works on Qidian written in routines? Because someone has written about it, it means that the subject matter is easy and safe to write about. Take Fantasy Continent and System Flow as an example. The setting of the fantasy continent is easy to understand: the Water and Fire Kingdom attacks the Jin Kingdom on the Wind and Wood Continent, or the United Kingdom attacks the Elf Holy Kingdom on the Southern Continent. These settings are meaningless, baggage-free, and have no associations. The author writes them easily, and the readers are unlikely to follow the outline. There are problems, of course, but it's just boring at best. The system flow is easier to understand. The protagonists of the system flow often do not have real free will and do not need too complicated motivations. It doesn't actually matter what the protagonist does, who he helps, who he kills, or who he saves. As long as he doesn't touch sensitive boundaries, there's nothing worth arguing about. Nowadays, some people want to write a story seriously and try to put various interesting elements into the work. Immediately, someone will put the real-life position and emotions into the book, and then comment on the protagonist's behavior, motives and goals from the moral high ground, condemning who should be killed, who should be saved, whether this thing should be done, and whether that thing is wrong. From this point of view, it is indeed best to write a system-flow protagonist in a fantasy continent: fight monsters, hunt for treasures, upgrade, and detoxify, and just have fun along the way. Oh, no, it seems that even some traditional scenes are getting harder and harder to write now. I just hope that more people can read novels as novels. Obviously Chinese online articles have such a large readership, and there are so many smart and imaginative authors and readers, but the decades of online article history can still be easily summarized by a few fixed labels. Ultimately, I really hope to see more interesting and creative work from Starting Point.

The setting of no medical magic seems abrupt in the book, and many people have tried to explain why, but they are all far-fetched. In this context, how is it possible that no one has tried to explore the mysteries of life? Organ transplantation and human body modification are all normal, right? The problems encountered in this process are enough to develop medical magic to a very high level. It is very inconsistent with the logic of the development of things. The protagonist is the plate of vinegar, and the world is the plate of dumplings specially made for him.

What's going on with the latest two? Is that woman the author's heavenly king? Why use two separate chapters to write about this woman's entry into the Holy City? Isn't the purpose of reading this book just to see the protagonist? Why did you use two pages specifically to write about this woman? The amount of information expressed is also very low. Summary in one sentence. This woman's ability is very strong, and she can cause damage even to sacred trees. Isn't this the end?

World Map v1

Provincial version: It is difficult to write well, the subject matter is self-limited, the content is easy to dispute, and it is difficult to be a hit in the future. Military + non-medieval history + fantasy are not popular. Haha, I just don't need to write in detail. I don't read many medical-related online articles, but the hot spots are very similar. The first one I watched was a Korean comic "The Queen's Scalpel". The main things that a doctor can give are just that. If you break down the details, the professional barriers are easily exposed, and how can a medical student who has thorough knowledge have time to update so much every day (paralysis) Let's talk about the more troublesome politics. After the protagonist sees the problem, he can only start from the military (emphasis is that Wei Guangzheng cannot compromise and can only start a revolution from the bottom). As for the means, shouting slogans will definitely not succeed. There will definitely be disputes about the specific means, and it will be difficult to please. What about the situation where politics pulls language Everything is not simple, and when put together, it requires more characters, strong characterization skills, and at least 2K daily updates of online articles. To make it impossible to spin a triangle, the author is required to work half-time (at least full time) So the triangle becomes a four-corner. Originally, it only needed to be turned hard to make it move, but now the square will be deformed or even fall apart when turned hard Well... Even though I keep saying discouraging words, once it is written, it will at least be a masterpiece, and readers will definitely be able to witness a rising star.

The background is a fantasy world with magic based on real history. The changes are very good and not obtrusive. The main plot is that a modern medical student returns to the barbaric era of medicine and is currently working as a field doctor. The positions of both sides and the war scenes are very well written. There are many difficult and complicated diseases in medicine in the past, waiting for the protagonist to break through them one by one (copy homework) and become the founder of magical medicine. I have to say that the spell is so easy to use. The protagonist is simply a hospital equipment department and a medical device manufacturer, and the equipment is ready at the surgery site.

In the first plot of the opening chapter, the author mentioned a method to deal with the priority of treatment for large accidents and large numbers of patients on the battlefield - triage. Due to space limitations, the relevant content is relatively scattered and brief. I have reviewed relevant information and combined with personal experience to make a systematic brief introduction here for interested book friends to read. The following content is for reference only. Your criticisms and corrections are welcome. Triage concept: Triage is a medical and health resource allocation decision-making system, which is used to allocate treatment priorities for a large number of patients in emergency departments, large accidents and battlefields. It classifies and records injuries based on factors such as the degree of injury, injury location, and treatment needs of the injured, with the purpose of rationally allocating medical resources and improving treatment effectiveness. History of triage: First aid triage originated during the Napoleonic period in France, and later during the American Civil War because a large number of wounded people could not receive timely treatment. Therefore, triage was born out of the emergency needs of the war and is still closely related to military medicine. Purpose of injury classification: 1. Rescue the injured on site as much as possible: ensure that they can receive timely medical assistance by effectively identifying the injured in urgent need of emergency treatment. 2. Make full use of on-site resources: rationally allocate limited medical resources to ensure that the injured who need the most help receive priority treatment. 3. Reasonably arrange transfers to avoid secondary disasters in medical institutions: transfer the injured to medical institutions in an orderly manner to prevent the influx of too many lightly injured people from straining medical resources, thereby affecting the treatment of severe patients. 4. Improve the timeliness of treatment: Prevent unnecessary disability or death caused by on-site chaos and other reasons. (Due to character limit, the comment area continues below)

Here is a brief explanation of the background of the book and the profession of the protagonist. The background of this book is an imaginary Western fantasy world based on the European continent in the mid-to-late 19th century, with elements such as arcana, steam industry, and colonial wars added. The social outlook and technological level will refer to reality, but will also be reasonably transformed based on the worldview of this book. For example, Tour, you should also be able to see that it is a variant of the fusion of Bretonnian, Italian and knight cultures. As for why the protagonist is a doctor, it is because the author has always felt that doctor is a profession that is very suitable for observing the times. Many grand social problems will actually eventually fall into a specific disease. For example, dust from factories can turn into pneumoconiosis, sewage from slums can turn into cholera, and the luxury of nobles can turn into gout. In the words of Internet literature, this is a natural conflict. All in all, what the author wants to write about is not a simple pretense of treating diseases, but what will happen when a modern doctor is thrown into such an era full of changes, wars and contradictions. In addition, if you have any suggestions or if there is anything you don't understand about the plot, you can leave them in the comment area. The author is also a medical professional in reality. He is usually quite busy, but when he has time, he will read it carefully and reply seriously. Finally, I shamelessly ask for a follow-up reading. It is really important to follow up on the new book issue, as it is related to subsequent recommendations. If you can read the latest chapter every day, it will be the greatest support for the new author. Thank you so much! 🙏

If the number of updates increases, at least it will be more than food and grass, but the war scenes are really average, and the fantasy medicine part is very interesting. If the war wants to be good, you must either have too many memes, like the one next door, play primitive stalks, vampire stalks, zombie stalks, or all kinds of modern war thinking to crush the old war thinking. Of course, maybe some people like fantasy wars, but the war department written by General Ha next door is so disappointing that a group of people still read it. They skip the detailed description and only talk about the general results and then focus on describing what the protagonist did, as well as the rationality of the protagonist's actions and the disadvantages of the original conventional operation. This kind of action is not pursued, but the threshold is low and many people read the book. Many people read books without thinking very much. The author can accept it if he gives a reasonable reason.

In this otherworldly world, doing something like surgery is not extraordinary.
