Ruins of the Mortal World

Old stories lie buried beneath the yellow earth, while the mountains and wilds conceal the ruins left behind.

Born in a northern village, Chen Ji inherited the art of guarding the ruins, passed down through generations of his family.

Abandoned villages and crumbling walls, old mountain ridges and eroded earth: those lost to time and the regrets buried beneath the land are all obsessions the world has forgotten.

He seeks no arcane arts and meddles with no evil spirits. He uses only ancient folk methods to soothe the scars on the land and comfort the lingering thoughts scattered across it.

He travels through forgotten places, gathering the sorrows left behind in this world, giving the drifting past a place to settle and bringing peace to the broken landscape.

The fires of life may fade, but the whispers of the ruins endure.

With a handful of native soil and an ordinary life, he guards a corner of the human world and helps countless earthly regrets find peace.
