Outside the Well: Different Roads Leading to the Same Destination

Well and frog A well that once had water. There are a group of frogs living in the well. They don't know where the well came from, whether the water will dry up, or what's outside the well. They only know that this is their world - the walls of the well, the water, the mud at the bottom of the well, and the small circle of skylight above their heads. They live very seriously. Looking for bugs, fighting for territory, raising tadpoles, and providing for old age. Occasionally, a frog climbs halfway up the well wall and glances down, feeling that he is something extraordinary. Occasionally, a frog stares at the circle of sky in a daze, and is laughed at by other frogs. The days went by like this. One day, the well ran dry. Most frogs die at the bottom of the well. A few of them, just on the wall of the well, jumped out as hard as they could. Some jumped out, and some got stuck at the mouth of the well. The frog jumped out and saw the outside world - but the well was still there. Dry, abandoned, but still there. The frog in the well didn't know that the well was dry. They continue to live, continue to reproduce, and continue to think that the well is the whole world. And those frogs stuck at the mouth of the well - they can neither go back into the well nor jump into the outside world. They were stuck there, watching the frogs in the well being born and dying from generation to generation. They didn't know that there was an exit above their heads, and they didn't know that that exit could never be reached.
