The Lights of Guandong

What began as a minor spat between two old men escalated because of an offhand remark from a child. Old Zhang and Old Zhou went from competing over their courtyards and lanterns to pitting the entire village against one another, then setting village against village in a series of contests. Thus unfolded a rural tale filled with one farcical mishap after another and endless comedy. Amid the bustling festive atmosphere of the New Year, the two old men finally buried the hatchet and wrote a warm, healing rural legend.
