Scapegoat

"Scape Contract" is a comic drama that combines folk suspense and modern criminal investigation. Criminal investigation captain Lin Xi returned to his hometown of Changshou Village in order to investigate many bizarre cases of serious illness in children, and found that all the clues pointed to a forgotten superstition - "substitute", that is, an ancient contract in which the life of another person is used to protect one's own child from disaster. She reunited with the mysterious folklorist Chen Mu, and the two were forced to join forces to uncover a dark truth about cause and effect and redemption that spanned two generations in a village full of taboos. When Lin Xi discovers that she has also been marked by the contract, she must make the ultimate choice between the laws of reason and supernatural reality.
