Biography of the Living Corpse in the Late Ming Dynasty

In the 16th year of Chongzhen's reign, a severe drought superimposed on the locust plague in Longyou. When starvation and death were everywhere, strange living corpses suddenly appeared in the world, eating strangers and spreading in all directions. Tenant farmer Wang Erzhu witnessed the tragic death of his neighbors, and embarked on the road to escape with his family and orphaned dogs. After experiencing the desperate situation of Gongchang Mansion being destroyed and surrounded by living corpses, he finally joined Li Zicheng's rebel army. In Xuanfu Town on the northern border, Wang Erzhu and guard Chen Jixian fought side by side to resist the double attack of Qing soldiers and mutant living zombies. However, the Qing soldiers set up an ambush and used living corpses to contain the rebels, causing the Xuanfu defense line to collapse. Chen Jixian died in the battle, and Wang Erzhu was seriously injured.
