This novel is a work created by a fan of the classic god-and-demon novel "Journey to the West". It tells the story of the Tang Dynasty King Li Shimin who wanted to communicate with the countries traveling westward to make it easier for countries to trade with each other, so he issued an edict. He sent Zhao Shuo, the son of Zhao Wang, a military veteran, and Li Jinse, the daughter of General Li Jing of the Tang Dynasty, to imitate the Silk Road of Zhang Qian of the Han Dynasty, and follow the westward path traveled by the Western Heaven Scripture-seeking team to make peace with the countries along the way by letter, so as to consolidate the happiness between the two countries and forge peace between the two families. This novel is based on this, describing the adventure story of the two who went through hardships and finally arrived in the West to complete their diplomatic mission. This novel is purely fictional and does not have any historical prototype. Any similarities are purely coincidental and should not be confused with real history.
