Song of Little People

The story takes place throughout the year in the fictional northern city of Ningchuan. Each volume focuses on one occupation: takeaway riders, office workers, couriers, night market stall owners, caregivers, truck drivers, housekeeping staff, and small live broadcast teams. The narrative starts from daily work and family pressure, and focuses on specific issues such as lateness and deductions, contracts and assessments, orders and compensation, booths and law enforcement, wards and bills, etc. It writes about the choices people make under the constraints of reality, and how life continues after the choices.
