The protagonist's initial identity is a Confucian cultivator and he follows the Confucian practice on a daily basis. One day, his master gave him a task and ordered him to go to a monastic place to find a person named Li Guanqing. After arriving at the destination, the protagonist did not see Li Guanqing, only Li Muran here. Li Muran explains the concepts and benefits related to Taoism to the protagonist. After some words, the protagonist accepts his point of view, gives up his original identity as a Confucian monk, and becomes a Taoist monk. Since then, the protagonist has come into contact with a large number of things related to monasticism that he has never seen before, and has also met many fellow practitioners and people with other identities, officially starting a new life journey. This new journey not only brings new experiences, but also comes with many unprecedented challenges. Because the protagonist was a Confucian cultivator, his way of thinking and code of conduct are different from those of long-term cultivators, and he often seems out of place in the group.
