The Mountain God Is Here

Stricken with an incurable illness, he unexpectedly encounters an immortal’s blessing. Li Ya becomes the mountain god of a corner of the land. He runs a guesthouse, rides an electric scooter, walks his husky, and takes life as it comes. He doesn’t live on wind and dew, nor can he summon clouds or rain. This is simply a story about a modern mountain god living quietly in the hills and holding back the passage of time. Once a man who left the mortal world behind, now a mountain lord who guards the flowing years. With a pinch of his fingers, he dispels the chaos of time; with a wave of his hand, he steadies the long years. Running a guesthouse, walking the dog, among pine winds and bamboo shadows, he contemplates the passing ages. Who can recognize Lushan’s true face? Turn around, and the moon has set over Xunyang.
