Lingyuan Threshold

"To seek immortality, mortals need to step on the nine abyss. Every step forward, use 'bone' as a bridge and 'fate' as a boat." Cultivating the Tao in this world begins with inscriptions on the bones. The first bone is inscribed on the body; the second bone is inscribed on the heart; the third bone is inscribed on the wish. From the fourth bone onwards, there is no more teacher to be found, only a small abyss left, called "rail". The ancients called it: "The undead with broken veins all step on the cracks in the rails." No one can tell what it is. Some people say that it is a wound that cracks the soul. Some people say that it is a cold face reserved by Heaven for monks. The stronger you are, the closer it is to you. If you catch a glimpse of it, you must let go of something. Forgot? Is it betrayal? Or take someone out of your life? No one ever passes it twice. No one has ever been the same person after passing through it. But they are all stronger. The oldest genealogies would describe this very lightly: "In a certain month of a certain year, a certain son sensed the track. The following year, he crossed the abyss." Only the old man in the door would wake up in the middle of the night and whisper: "Don't listen to that voice."
