The Gatekeeper of the Underworld

As the tides of spiritual energy shift, spirit beasts regress and spirit insects run rampant. The cultivation world enters a new cycle. And so the story begins: At the edge of the wilderness lies a region that is becoming fertile ground for cultivation, with the Underworld close to forming. A cultivation sect in this region is called the Flying Cockroach Sect. It has two peaks, Flying Cockroach Peak and Ant-Gathering Peak. Flying Cockroach Peak is divided among four families, He, Zhao, Chen, and Niu, each controlling a share of power. The Flying Cockroach Sect has an errand disciple named Shi Shouye. His visualization spirit, a cicada, is unusual. Though timid by nature, he possesses limitless vitality. He comprehends one innate technique, the Golden Cicada’s Escape, along with three auxiliary techniques. From the very beginning, he is swept into one dangerous vortex after another. In the end, fate’s twists make him the one who opens the gate to the Underworld, leading him down a different path of cultivation.
