Intangible Cultural Heritage: Recording the World Through Qin Opera

Four hundred years ago, Gao Jian was the most talented historian in the Ming Dynasty. He read countless books and traveled thousands of miles.

After transmigrating, he is an ordinary journalist rooted in the communities of a vast northwestern province, exploring traditional culture.

He uses pen and paper to touch the traditions of the past, and a camera to document the changing tides of civilization.

The thunderous roar of Qin opera.

The dazzling, unpredictable face-changing of Sichuan opera.

Woodblock New Year prints so lifelike they seem real.

And shadow puppetry so strange it beggars belief.

In his hands, brilliant intangible cultural heritage, as numerous as the stars, is seen by more and more people. He lets history connect with culture, and makes civilization shine across the world.

Explore intangible heritage, discover culture.

In places few people ever see, experience the charm of this nation.
