A Chance Encounter on Egret Island

And because of his deep-seated love of the steering wheel and sense of responsibility, Lin Yilu kept getting pulled back to his old line of work, becoming the Gulou bus fleet’s emergency driver whenever trouble struck. What stays the same is Lin Yilu’s kind heart, his deep attachment to the bus service, and the bond he shares with Wenhui as they weather life’s storms together, growing closer through compromise and understanding. Against the vibrant backdrop of southern Fujian, they face farcical mishaps, unexpected challenges, and heartwarming acts of kindness. In the end, between the wheels and the kitchen stove, they find a rhythm and a safe harbor of their own: the steaming satay hot pot is life, the rumbling bus route is passion, and together, supporting one another, they are the steadiest harbor in warm Egret Island.
