This work could be called a sequel to Four Seas and Eight Directions: Hui Is True to Her Heart. Beijing Bus Route 1 is the last route in Beijing that still has fare inspectors. Its fleet depot is on Shangzhuang Street in Shijingshan, and the story follows the everyday lives of a group of young people… Lin Yilu left Beijing in his second year of high school and spent seven or eight years struggling on his own. Since there were no physics programs available, he had a rough time studying abroad and elsewhere. Fortunately, he landed a job in Beijing as a bus driver, a position that was easy to get but that few people wanted.
