Reborn as the Wicked Wife

Mei Sheng was reborn.

Before her rebirth, she had been a model wife. Afterward, she became a bona fide shrew.

The root of it all was that her husband from her previous life had also been reborn, turning into a murderous lunatic who would cause trouble until someone died.

To keep the poor lunatic from going too far and provoking public outrage, only to be killed by someone else first, she had no choice but to take on the task of saving her lunatic husband.

What’s the first rule of saving a lunatic?

Fists are the ultimate answer!

So when rumors spread throughout Shengjing that “the Princess Consort of Pingnan is a shrew who often beats the Prince of Pingnan,” Mei Sheng’s expression was this: -_-||

Chen Buwang was reborn, too.

The moment he opened his eyes, he wanted nothing more than to go strangle his two-faced stepmother, Madam Sun. But his wife knocked him unconscious with a single chop.

Then he discovered that his wife had been reborn as well.

The dignified, gentle wife from his previous life, whom he had abandoned in a country estate and ignored, always keeping to her place, had suddenly become moody and unpredictable. No matter how furious he got, he couldn’t get rid of her, and she even claimed she wanted to help him?

At first, Chen Buwang thought:

Ha! You’ve got to be kidding!

His enemies stretched from the household all the way to the imperial court. Who could help him against them, there at the foot of the lofty throne?

Could you take the household authority away from Madam Sun? Could you wrest military power from Prince Cheng?

Could you win the Dowager Princess’s favor? Could you stop the Emperor from wiping out the Chen family?

If you can, then you can be Prince of Pingnan! If you can’t, then just behave yourself and be a proper Princess Consort of Pingnan. At least, since you didn’t cause trouble in your last life, I’ll grant you a little dignity!

Later, it turned out that getting proven wrong really, damn well, hurt!

In short, this is the story of a tragic male lead who suffered from childhood, was eventually killed, and after being reborn, fights for revenge only to have the female lead constantly slap him in the face.

Note: 1. One-on-one romance, feel-good story. The male lead is reborn; the female lead transmigrates and is reborn.

2. The female lead’s transmigration is only relevant to how her personality formed and has little bearing on the story.

3. This is not an angsty story, and the inner-court power struggles are all for show.
