My taste is fairly reliable. The novels on this list were all added when they had only eighty or ninety thousand characters, and there are now fifty of them. I especially enjoy Journey to the West fan fiction, but genuinely good examples are rare on Qidian. Journey to the West stories work better commercially with a male protagonist. If you give up because of a few haters, you'll really have nothing left to read. Novels should be a relaxing, enjoyable read. Why do so many people complain that an author is padding things out?
