Can the Emperor of Wage Slaves Fall in Love?

The first time Cheng Sheng met Zhou Jingxiu was on the night of his twenty-eighth birthday, when he was drunk and accidentally ordered a designated driver through Didi instead of a Didi ride-hailing car.

The two of them stared at each other in the pouring rain and asked in unison, “Where's your car?”

The second time Cheng Sheng met Zhou Jingxiu was at a company meeting, when the boss announced that a new team leader had been parachuted in.

The man on the podium wore an impeccably pressed suit without a single crease. Gold-rimmed glasses rested on his tall nose, and his striking, handsome features had his colleagues whispering among themselves.

He was completely different from the designated driver who had run through a rainstorm with Cheng Sheng in the middle of the night not long ago.

Fortunately, neither of them intended to expose the other. With an uncanny tacit understanding, they continued working together harmoniously as boss and subordinate. As they spent time together, Cheng Sheng discovered that his boss was handsome, humorous, and witty, and had almost no social life outside of work.

Cheng Sheng thought, Great, no problem, all good. Working people shouldn't make life harder for other working people. Everyone has their own difficulties.

He thought this as he and his boss continued to get along just fine, until one night, when he ordered late-night takeout and opened the door to see a man in a yellow work uniform taking off his helmet, holding the food delivery he'd ordered just moments ago.

After a long silence, Cheng Sheng finally spoke. “...You've got a lot of different identities, boss.”
