Reborn, I Got My Happy Ending with My Best Bro [Racing]

He Wensheng and Bai Yu had been inseparable since birth. They were born in the same hospital room, slept in the same bed in kindergarten, sat together from elementary school through high school, and even their exam rankings were right next to each other.

They grew up sharing everything, and He Wensheng believed no one knew Bai Yu better than he did.

When Bai Yu was six, he said, "I want to be the boss."

So He Wensheng beat up every kid their age in the neighborhood, then pointed at Bai Yu and said, "Call him Boss!"

When Bai Yu was ten, he said, "I don't like her."

So He Wensheng turned down a girl who confessed to him, then slung an arm around Bai Yu's shoulders. "I'm a pretty good bro, huh?"

When Bai Yu was sixteen, he said, "I want to race cars."

So He Wensheng became Bai Yu's eyes. No one worked together more seamlessly than they did.

When Bai Yu was twenty-three, he said, "I want to be a champion."

So He Wensheng turned down the blind dates his family arranged and devoted all his energy to studying the racecourses.

Two years later, a Chinese rally driver broke the world record, becoming the first Chinese world champion.

During an interview, a reporter asked He Wensheng why he had chosen to become a co-driver. As always, He Wensheng put an arm around Bai Yu's shoulders. "Because he became a racing driver. No one understands each other better than we do, and no one trusts each other more."

Later, Bai Yu was laden with honors, while He Wensheng saw a news report announcing his death. As he sorted through Bai Yu's belongings, an old notebook fell open before him. It held Bai Yu's diary entries from childhood through the age of twenty-three.

He Wensheng stole my candy.

I hate him.

I'm 0.5 millimeters taller than him.

I became a racing driver, and He Wensheng became my co-driver.

We won.

I think I like him.
