Demon King Simulator

[Updated at midnight, time may vary (bows)]

"Demon Lord Simulator" is a legendary garbage game. In its three years since launch, no one has ever claimed the Demon Lord’s throne, but players have found tens of thousands of ways to die.

What makes players want to curse the developers even more is that you can’t spend money, save your game, or revive. Once you die, you have to start over from scratch.

Ning Xun opens the game.

Like every other player, she wants to become the legendary Demon Lord.

So she maxes out her magical talent.

As for Constitution 1, Knowledge 1, and Wealth -3… Whatever. Those are necessary sacrifices!

As soon as she finishes setting things up, the world spins. A few lines of text appear before her eyes

[Your arrival has stirred this world.]

[People are utterly astonished. Why has the Demon Lord come again?]

Ning Xun, wearing a pair of beat-up flip-flops: …I’m surprised too.

Nobody told her playing this game would make her transmigrate!

And why is she so poor now?!

*

Jiang Yue stares in shock as her friend disappears before her eyes. Before she can react, a few lines of text appear in front of her.

[Your friend has transmigrated. Only by becoming the Demon Lord can she return here.]

[The magical world is full of danger. Your friend is frail and sickly, illiterate, heavily in debt, and notorious. Her life is in danger at any moment.]

[At this moment, are you, the wealthy daughter of a factory owner, willing to spend some money and become her Demon Lord investor?]

Jiang Yue clicks furiously.

Who’d be stupid enough not to use a cheat? Ning Xun, don’t be afraid. Your strong friend is coming to save you!!

With a crisp clink as the coins hit the ground

[Ding, The only way to spend money across the two worlds has been unlocked. We hope both players enjoy the game and face their challenges!]

*

From the moment a Demon Lord is born, they face assassination attempts from every direction.

People look forward to her birth, and they look forward to her death. For a full thousand years, not a single Demon Lord has lived to adulthood.

Until Ning Xun appeared.

Wielding her magic staff, she fights her way from south to north.

The arrogant dragons, the fickle elves, the honest druids, the cold alchemists… The surviving peoples bow before the throne and present a sprig of laurel as a symbol of peace.

The kingdom is transformed.

Everyone says she is an undefeated legend.

Only Ning Xun on the throne and Jiang Yue squatting beside it know the truth.

Ahem. She just spent enough money on the game.

Notes:

1. Both worlds are simulators, though the magical world takes up much, much more of the story.

2. The protagonist’s morals slide downhill like a landslide, and her roommate has no morals when it comes to outsiders.

3. An original magical world, with tons of original worldbuilding.

Theme: Life comes first
