After the Infinite Game Fell Apart

Also known as: A Sharp Tongue Won't Get You a Wife!

[After going missing in Jiang City for years and being declared dead, Cao returns. When he learns his wife has remarried, he goes berserk and tears her entire family apart. Their shattered remains cover...]

[A group of masked men swagger into a villa in the eastern suburbs, brutally kill its owner, and seize the property.]

Overnight, similar stories flood the news across the country, as if every repressed madman has been set free on the same day.

But unlike ordinary madmen,

every one of them has extraordinary powers.

"Jiang Zhuo,"

In the Escapee Management Bureau, Tang Xiao looks at Jiang Zhuo's cold, weary face. His powers have been sealed, and he has been locked in a holding room.

"You must be exhausted, chasing out-of-control lunatics everywhere with just a handful of people."

Jiang Zhuo really is beginning to feel helpless, and Tang Xiao really would make a good ally:

powerful, level-headed,

and remembered by everyone from the Infinite Game for his ruthless streak.

If Tang Xiao would agree to join the officially established Escapee Management Bureau,

they could restore order much sooner,

and far fewer ordinary people would die at the hands of escapees from the Infinite Game.

"What are your terms?"

As long as they weren't unreasonable, Jiang Zhuo was willing to consider them.

Tang Xiao considered himself easy to deal with, and he knew exactly what he wanted.

"I'll help you, as long as you keep me company."

Anger flashed across Jiang Zhuo's face. "Tang Xiao, you should know that careless words can bring trouble. He must have warned you."

"You mean your ex-boyfriend who died?"

Tang Xiao saw Jiang Zhuo's anger, but made no effort to hold back.

"I'll help clean up the mess he left behind, and you pay me. Seems fair to me."

Their negotiations came to nothing, and Jiang Zhuo stormed off.

Jiang Zhuo kept rushing from place to place, never daring to stop, while the number of people killed by escapees continued to rise.

Worse, Infinite Game instances began appearing at random.

At last, one day, Jiang Zhuo returned to Tang Xiao.

"I'll accept your terms."

Chu Mingyu and Jiang Zhuo were the most famous couple in the Main God Space.

They were the president and vice president of the top-ranked guild, and both were in the top ten on the individual points leaderboard.

Everyone said they were made for each other.

Everyone except Tang Xiao.

Tang Xiao was desperately in love with Jiang Zhuo.

But Jiang Zhuo already had a lover.

Fortunately, Chu Mingyu died.

He died the day he threw caution to the wind and tampered with the game, freeing every player trapped in an endless, deadly crisis.
