Road trip | Slow-burn romance | Healing and redemption

Flop-film director gong x healing illustrator shou

Zuo Qingshan is a freelance illustrator. Burdened by exhaustion and unfinished work, he sets off alone on a trip to Tibet.

He thinks it's just a brief escape from reality, until he meets a man with a mole on his brow ridge aboard a tour bus bound for Namtso: Bian Feng, a director whose art-house films keep flopping.

This is Bian Feng's third trip to Tibet. He says he's looking for inspiration, but it seems more like he's searching for an answer.

Zuo Qingshan suddenly feels that this spontaneous trip is becoming something different.

"Do you like art-house films?"

"Yeah, I do."

"Zuo Qingshan, I like you. This isn't a passing whim. I mean it."
