At just twenty-four, Shen Su won the three major acting awards in China's entertainment industry. At twenty-seven, he won two prestigious international film awards. He was just one award away from becoming the first person to complete the grand slam, but on his twenty-eighth birthday, he announced his retirement from the industry.
The whole world thought he had gone crazy.
Pei Leyu had just been accepted into the alma mater of her idol when she heard he was retiring. After crying herself into a stupor, she vowed to bring him out of retirement and star alongside him.
Two years later, she finally got her chance and went with her friends to Shen Su's villa.
Before setting off, she resolved to present herself as a well-behaved, diligent student in front of him.
But on the very first day, she nearly elbowed her idol.
On the second day, he caught her climbing a tree.
On the third day, she accidentally overheard a secret he found too embarrassing to discuss.
On the fourth day, ever helpful, she brewed herbal medicine for him, mistook an effervescent tablet for candy, and fed it to him, making him foam at the mouth.
On the fifth day...
By the tenth day, Shen Su had left the villa without looking back. Pei Leyu was utterly despairing, but at least she'd added him on WeChat.
Shen Su was eating when she called him, drunk and crying.
Shen Su was sunbathing when she messaged him to ask how to act out a scene.
Shen Su was practicing calligraphy when she got someone to message him on her behalf and play the victim.
Shen Su was helpless. Shen Su returned to China.
Pei Leyu: Half the plan is complete!
Shen Su: Going back to work after retiring is such a pain. I'd better find another chance to run away.
