This story went off track, and after thinking it over, I've decided to end it here at Chapter 24. If I continue, I won't be able to reach the ending in the blurb. Going by feel, the kiss at the end of Chapter 24 is about where they'd confess their feelings anyway, so dragging it out further wouldn't mean much. At some point, an unfamiliar voice began speaking inside Ji Yingchen's head, constantly saying strange things.

"He Fu has improved so much. That's amazing, but I can't let him get conceited."

"Xiang Yifan did a great job arranging the drums. But would praising him outright seem too over the top?"

"Finding a new lead singer before dawn is impossible... But I absolutely won't say that to them. Worst case, I'll sing myself."

Ji Yingchen couldn't stand the noise. Based on what he'd learned, he tracked down the person in question.

The moment the door opened, a voice rang out in his head: "Holy crap, he's so handsome. Totally my type."

But the owner of that voice looked at him with an indifferent expression, as if annoyed at being disturbed. "What do you want?"

Ji Yingchen: ...

He explained why he'd come and said he could temporarily join the band.

The voice in his head: "Handsome guy, I think we can kiss now."

The person in front of him showed no expression, gave him a cool, indifferent once-over, then nodded reluctantly and said, just as reluctantly, "Oh, fine. Come in and let's talk."

With the million-follower blogger bringing in traffic, people started listening to the band's songs, and they quickly became popular.

But Ji Yingchen had only signed a temporary contract, and soon it would be time for him to leave the band.

But what he said was: "Leave if you want."

Ji Yingchen's gaze darkened. His thumb rubbed against Ning Weichen's swollen, reddened lower lip.

He lowered his head and laughed at himself.

In a hoarse voice, he said, "Ning Weichen, don't come crying to me when you can't get out of bed tomorrow morning."
