Kill the Demon Taoist

You are an assassin.

That day, you receive a mission: kill Fu Yuan, the Imperial Preceptor of Daxia, a demonic sorcerer who has thrown the people into chaos.

You go.

You fail.

His horsetail whisk binds your hands and feet. The demonic sorcerer pins you down with a hand around your throat and casually says you have a terrible face, the kind that belongs to someone destined to die young.

You ignore him.

The sorcerer pauses, then says your body is unusual, a first-rate cultivation cauldron in the cultivation world, and that you're fated for a life of hardship and wandering.

You still ignore him.

"How about this? Give me ten thousand taels of gold, and I'll resolve it for you."

You smile and lift your chin to look at the sorcerer.

"Get lost."

You say.
