A Treacherous Official's Handbook

Everyone says that Yan Huanming, the Grand Secretariat of Great Wei, is ruthless and wicked, guilty of every crime imaginable. They say he opened a charity hall to feed on little boys and girls. They say he saves disaster victims to win their hearts. They say his power eclipses the court and that he rules with an iron fist, all to keep the emperor in the dark and whitewash his countless evils... “The world is foolish.” Bo Qian’s voice was low. Yan Huanming lifted Bo Qian’s chin lightly, looking utterly unconcerned. “If you know they’re foolish, why bother arguing with them?” Yan Huanming smiled faintly. “Good boy. Tell me, am I going to eat you?” Bo Qian: “...” Bo Qian’s ears flushed silently. Everyone knows that Bo Qian, the new king of the Northern Di, hates Yan Huanming, the treacherous minister of Great Wei, more than anyone in the world. He hates him so much he wants to tear into his flesh and drink his blood. He even marched his army to the border, just to force Yan Huanming, the exalted Grand Secretariat, to visit the Northern Di as an envoy. But no one knows why the new king of the Northern Di hates Yan Huanming. Bo Qian grabbed the golden chain around Yan Huanming’s neck. “Your Excellency, do you know?” Forced to raise his head, Yan Huanming looked at Bo Qian coldly. “You rabid dog.” Bo Qian smiled. “Am I not your good boy anymore?” - The Northern Di’s blizzards swallowed the body of the young hostage. The one who survived was Bo Qian, the king of the Northern Di. All the love and sincerity he once had were cast aside like worthless trash. An abandoned dog brings no loyalty, only hatred. Yan Huanming had pushed him into hell, so he would drag Yan Huanming down beside him. They would sink together. - #A cold-hearted, calculating power-broker seme x a hostage who starts out innocent and later turns unhinged #Neither lead is a good person.
