My Cat Can Do Backflips

China's top-tier star game streamer x YouTube Japan's horror game streamer

A cocky, arrogant, ridiculously handsome guy x a socially anxious shut-in mouse who barely leaves the house

A game streamer raising a cat seems to be standard practice.

Yu Jingzhou spent 300 yuan to adopt a kitten from a pet shop near his apartment complex. They claimed it was a purebred Maine Coon.

Of course, he didn't believe them.

After graduating and returning to China, streaming on YouTube became a hassle.

Yu Jingzhou tried shifting the focus of his streaming career back home. His game streams did pretty well, but what really made him famous were the daily life vlogs he made with Yu Yijin.

Yu Yijin was the kitten he'd adopted.

Some cats are good, and some are even better.

Other people's cats are either clingy little purr machines or tear the house apart and get into fights every other day.

Yu Jingzhou had expected all that, and he could live with it. Worst case, he and the cat could always fight it out.

But he couldn't quite accept that his cat could actually turn into a person.

A fan once asked: Why is Yu Yijin called Yu Yijin?

The streamer fell silent for a moment, then gave a dignified answer: Because the cat weighed exactly one jin when I adopted him.

As for how Yu Yijin's name actually came from the fact that he eats a jin and poops a jin, well, that can stay their little secret.

Reader's guide:

1. A human turns into a cat. The gong is a silver tabby Maine Coon.

2. The shou is a streamer in Japan, but he's Chinese, just a poor foreign language student.

3. The story takes place in China.

4. If it's not sweet, I'll pay you back!!!!
