The Gossip Queen on a Dating Show

Who says monsters aren't allowed to become spirits after the founding of the country?

That's just a rumor!

On Blue Star in the twenty-first century, nonhuman races can legally become spirits as long as they have a permit.

Mo Yun is a legally registered mushroom spirit of unknown variety.

One day, an invitation falls out of the mailbox at the entrance to her estate.

Dear Miss Mushroom, we cordially invite you to join The Sound of Romance: Nonhuman Edition. Let's spend 30 fantastical days together~

Just another dating show? I've seen enough. No...

Wait, what does "Nonhuman Edition" mean?!

Human viewers peek in: What?

Sure, nonhuman races can legally become spirits, but they can't just transform whenever and wherever they please. That's against the law. If they lose more than 12 points, they'll have to retake their licensing exam.

Humans are full of curiosity about nonhumans.

As the show airs, human viewers learn more and more about nonhumans.

Each episode takes an unexpected turn.

But hold on!

Human viewers watch a bat and a mushroom successfully pair up, and question marks pop up over their heads.

Don't nonhumans have reproductive barriers between species?
