Su Ran's life began at thirteen, then was violently split in two at the end of his seventeenth year.
Before he turned thirteen, he lived in hell and even thought being dead was better than being alive.
That year, he met the person who changed his entire life.
After he turned seventeen, a vast emptiness hid in Su Ran's life.
The furnishings at home, the badge in a drawer, the dagger he carefully maintained and wielded like an extension of his arm... Everything hinted at a jarring wrongness he couldn't explain.
He should have reported to a certain place, but in a daze, he wandered onto a university campus.
On the second day of school, the bright campus transformed before his eyes into a dungeon crawling with the uncanny.
Monsters roared, and death drew near. But Su Ran's body moved faster than his thoughts. His blade flashed, and the dagger he somehow carried with him plunged into the monster, his movements fierce and precise, as if another soul had carved them into his bones.
His body's instincts awakened before his memories.
He had forgotten the most important person in the world to him, but instinctively tightened his grip on the blade that person had left behind.
Broken images flickered before his eyes. As he teetered on the brink of death, that person had roughly dragged him out of death's muddy abyss... The silent care in their daily life, combat training in the dark, a burning palm, the man's low, earnest instruction...
Huo Yanfeng.
The name brought a searing pain as it broke through the ice in the abyss of forgetfulness.
The cold dagger slit the monster's throat, tearing open the seal on his memories at the same time.
This time, he would wield the blade.
After fighting his way through a dungeon that had not yet fully formed, Su Ran kicked open the door to the Abyss Conquest Team and began searching for every trace of that person. He swore to find that promise-breaking bastard himself, alive and whole.
And once he found him?
He'd beat him up first.
Reading Guide:
1. This is an unconventional infinite flow story, set in a world where endless dungeons descend upon reality. It probably won't feature full dungeon-clearing stories, because when a dungeon appears, the not-yet-formed conquest team rushes over to wreck it. It's more of a healing, mutually redemptive story about the conquest team's everyday life. (Probably =^ω^=)
2. Just relax and read without overthinking. If you're very particular about plot logic or writing style and find anything uncomfortable, please click the little X instead of leaving abuse. This obscure, struggling author needs lots of encouragement to stay motivated and write the story properly, QwQ.
3. The literary title is "Memories Out of Sync." The cover shows Su Ran, a sharp-tongued little firecracker who's cold on the outside and warm on the inside~ His seme seems like an unserious old rascal on the surface, but actually respects and dotes on Ran.
