What would happen if magic disappeared from a world of magic overnight?

In the end, bearing eternal life and endless loneliness, he wandered through this bustling world like a ghost.

Then one day,

a little one radiating sunshine suddenly appeared by his side. Their warmth, full of life and energy, gradually melted the barrier between him and the world, and their constant chatter dragged him back into the crowd.

Beneath the sunlight, an ancient soul stirred from its slumber. Only then did he feel as if he had awoken from a long dream, to find the world’s splendor unchanged.

His glory was gone, but the future still held promise.

Three thousand years have passed, and magic has returned to the modern city, with its bright lights and bustling nightlife. Along with it have come ancient monsters that have slept for millennia.

As time passes, the world’s magic grows stronger, and the monsters grow ever more powerful. Modern weapons are no match for ancient magic.

To address this, the Joint Institute of Magical Research was established with the support of countries around the world. Its branches are also establishing magical academies to find and train gifted children.

But the more gifted the children are, the more likely they are to be attacked by monsters.

They first met at just such a time...
