[One: The Rat Man]

In her final year of college, Qin Yuwan rents a place in the lower district to save money. The apartment is dilapidated and the neighborhood is rife with crime. A spate of murders has been making headlines, with young women living alone among the victims. Every night, when she gets home from work in the small hours, she walks up the narrow staircase in fear, worried someone might be following her. Thankfully, a middle-aged couple is always there downstairs to keep her company.

Lately, though, Qin Yuwan keeps waking up at night to faint, rustling noises. She searches the apartment carefully, even opening the front door to look outside. Then she discovers the culprit: a rat on all fours.

[Two: Lost at Sea]

A taxi carrying passengers traveling home crashes over a cliff after the driver makes a mistake. The rescue comes in time, but the only survivor is college student Yu Zhihe.

At the hospital, all of Yu Zhihe's vital signs have returned to normal, yet she remains unconscious and won't wake up. Some say her soul is still out at sea.

[Three: The Dorm Ghost]

My application to change dorm rooms was rejected. They said they'd checked the security footage and no one had entered our dorm that night.

That's impossible. There are four beds in our room. Two roommates had gone home for the holidays, and the last one was snoring behind her bed curtain. So who was standing beneath my bed, climbing the ladder?

Theme: Love endures forever.
