I'll add a proper synopsis and character profiles later. As for why Hephaestus is written as a gloomy, obsessive man, it has to do with the second version of the story about Hephaestus marrying Aphrodite.
The story only borrows the characters' backgrounds; the plot is entirely original. I may use some myths, so I suppose this counts as a derivative work.
I couldn't find a suitable cover, so this will have to do for now.
Please decide for yourself whether these content warnings are deal-breakers:
● This is the summary. Explanations follow below: both are physically and emotionally faithful, with some coercion (maybe).

● There are many versions of Greek mythology, but as I see it, anyone who can become the god of fire and blacksmithing must have an incredible physique. You know what I mean.
● In the original Greek myths, Hephaestus is ugly, but sorry, the author can't really accept a beautiful bottom with an ugly top. I'll change him into a dark-skinned, rugged man. He may not be drop-dead gorgeous, but he definitely won't be ugly!
● Since the story is set against the backdrop of Greek mythology, you probably know what a mess the myths can be, so there will be major changes, while keeping some of the original touchstones.
