In the twelfth year of the Naraku Era, also the twelfth year since Ceylos officially descended, all the cities along the border had fallen. The world had become a living hell.
To ensure humanity's last hope of survival, the ruling authorities launched the Great Wall Project. The surviving humans were split into two groups: builders and exiles. Ordinary people were officially abandoned.
The builders entered the age within the walls, while the exiles fell into the forsaken wastelands.
A virus born from a nightmare swept across humanity like a plague. Overnight, the human population was cut in half, and all four billion survivors claimed to have shared the same nightmare.
A staircase into the abyss, a black hole with no visible end. Humanity stood at the very top, drawn to the dark depths below, unable to stop itself from walking toward the abyss.
This nightmare of the abyss, shared by all of humanity, was also known as Ceylos, meaning abyss, curse, and nightmare.
Whenever someone died, Ceylos opened a door.
Nightmares poured out from within.
When you gaze into Ceylos, it may be cursing you, or perhaps blessing you.
It will grant you new life, and it will also bring you ruin.
