With incense offerings dwindling, divine tablets scattered, and people no longer worshiping the gods, a new century began. The world underwent spiritual qi revival, and divine tablets began appearing one after another. A small teahouse quietly opened within the city's third ring road.
The Yin-Yang Twin Gods, one gentle and one stern, one evil and one righteous; the Nine-Phoenix Divine Bird, radiant and colorful, an auspicious creature by nature.
Lady Xuannü, with her immortal beauty, was the goddess of war in heaven; the Three-Legged Turtle was born with medicinal herbs in its body, and eating them cured all illness.
The Mountain God protected the land and was the foundation of the people's lives; the Door God had a stern expression and inspired awe without trying.
All of the above is the flattering image that comes with the divine tablets. In reality,
the Yin-Yang Twin Gods are argumentative young people, and the Nine-Phoenix Divine Bird is a "fat-headed bird" that loves showing off.
Lady Xuannü is a shopping addict who loves going online, while the Three-Legged Turtle is an old turtle who loves gossip.
The Mountain God is a handsome plushie enthusiast who likes pretending to be old-fashioned; the Door God is a cool, poker-faced guy who gets embarrassed easily.
And then there's the extremely sharp-tongued supreme god Donghuang Taiyi, who seems noble and aloof but is actually a sharp-tongued firebrand.
Our protagonist, Ximo, was born into a family of divine tablet carvers. By his generation, however, he was the family's only remaining descendant.
Thanks to spiritual qi revival, divine tablets could now be found and carved successfully. From then on, Ximo began his hilarious daily life raising immortals, gods, and spirits.
